The interesting thing seen in Joshua 5 is the anointing of the "Second Generation," to continue the work that the former generation started. The Lord speaks to Joshua and says circumcise this generation, all of the males. He was ready to separate them to progress Israel into the place of promise. They were all circumcised, which prepared them to fight as one man. Joshua led one of the most successful armies in the scripture. He did with a group that were born in the wilderness, which represents the place of “just enough” and their job was to make into the place of promise "more than enough."
